1. Installing RFIDSimplware (RFIDSW) on Microsoft Vista This requires an additional step when installing RFIDSimpleware for the first time. There will be a database creation error the first time RFIDSimpleware is opened if this step is not taken. After running the RFIDSW setup.exe program both RFIDSW and SQL Server were installed but you must add permissions to SQL server. You can do this by... Start-->All Programs-->Micosoft SQL Server 2005-->SQL Server Surface Area Configuration then add your login to the Administrator Group - Open RFIDSimpleware (behind the scenes a database will be created - only the first time you run RFIDSW) 2. SQL Server Express Management Tools If you want to see the raw data that is being stored you can download SQL Server 2005 Express Management Tools - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=c243a5ae-4bd 1-4e3d-94b8-5a0f62bf7796&displaylang=en 3. 2GB Maximum Database Size (File Size) SQL Server Express has a maximum of 2 GB max file size.

4. Uninstalling RFIDSW You can uninstall RFIDSW just as you would uninstall other programs by using control panel. After RFIDSW is uninstalled the SQL data file will need to be manually removed (see path & filename above). If you don't remove this datafile then you will get a database error thenext time you try and do an install.
